As part of the recent Cabinet resolution, travellers from across the world have from January 1, 2018, received a 30-day visa upon arrival following the establishment of a new visa regime. While there has been no official notice yet from the Rwanda immigration, the immigration website has been updated to reflect a new cost of $50 for a single-entry visa (valid 30 days) and $70 for a multiple entry visa (valid 90 days), both for an advance purchase online e-visa and for an arrival visa. The East African Tourist Visa remains $100 and is valid for 90 days.
For travellers who have already purchased and paid the previous $30 rate for their visa online, no top ups will be required. If travellers have applied for their visas online but have not paid online, they will pay the new $50 rate on arrival.
